Our advisory committee is dedicated to the Wharf Fund’s mission and strives to uphold the integrity of the fund itself. The committee members believe in creating real and lasting change within the Northern Black Hills.
Natasha Fuller
Lead Community Member
Natasha is a proud Black Hills local and currently resides in Lead with her husband, Thad, and their 3 young children. Natasha is a homemaker and together they own and operate CAI Construction (of Lead), specializing in Commercial Contracting and Commercial and Residential Development. Work and the outdoors fill their calendar. As a family, they enjoy skiing and snowboarding, travel, sled outings, backpacking and hiking, swimming and seasonal programs for the children. Natasha (and Thad) hit up live music and good food whenever possible and devote their time to various community programs. Natasha’s favorite movie is “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back”, and she wishes everyone the opportunity to “Work Hard, Play Hard.”
Marc Morgan
Wharf Resources Employee
Marc Morgan was born and raised in Spearfish and still resides there today. Marc and his wife Shannon (also a Spearfish native) have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren. In their spare time they enjoy walks with their dogs Colonel and Bubba as well camping and enjoying all the Black Hills have to offer with their grand kids. Marc is a retired 13 year member of the Spearfish Volunteer Fire Department and has volunteered with other organizations in the past such as Habitat for Humanity and The United Way. Marc has been a Wharf employee since October of 2014 and looks forward to being a part of the Wharf Fund committee.
Tony Auld
Wharf Resources Employee; Wharf Vice President
Tony Auld was born in Spokane, WA. He fell in love with Black Hills with his first visit of the Black Hills in 1994 and knew right away he wanted to move here one day. Tony has been with Wharf Resources in the mining engineering department for the past 15 years. Tony lives in Lead with his wife, Darla, and his two daughters, Sydney and Amber. When Tony is not following the girls around on various sport events, he can be found golfing at Tomahawk Lake Golf Course or dancing. Tony joined the Wharf Fund Committee in the beginning of 2016, and he firmly believes that “The best time to give advice to your children is while they’re still young enough to believe you know what you’re talking about”.
Ken Nelson
Wharf Mine General Manager
Ken Nelson has had the pleasure of living in the Black Hills for over 30 years. Ken has been employed with Wharf Resources for 25 years, mainly serving in management positions in a majority of their departments. This work history more than qualifies Ken to fulfill his latest role as Regional General Manager of South Dakota and Nevada Operations. Ken resides in Rapid City with his family and when he isn’t working, you can find him doing those things he and his family love – skiing, biking, or trail running. Ken joined the Wharf Fund Committee in 2015 and, as in his work, he is an active participant, encouraging and establishing sustainable contributions that have a positive impact on our community. Ken is the poster child for “live life to its fullest” and he believes that everyone else should do the same.
